Thank you for your reply. It doesn't matter when I do it. Most of the times I have tried has been around 4am ET, as I am based in the UK, and the chart I am loading is the ES. Adrian

I am finding page loads take forever in Ninjatrader when I request anything more than a day or two of data. It can take more than 30 minutes, sometimes hours to load 30 or 60 days of tick data for one instrument (ES). I have deleted workspaces from NT, and started new, but the problem persists. My feedstats, when loading a page show that I am getting less than 1KB/Sec transfer. Requesting the default of 3 days results in almost instantaneous loads. My internet connect is at about 2Mbit/sec, and other internet tools are working well. How can I get historical quotes loaded faster than 30 minutes?

Hi there, I am trialling the Excel package XLQ which sucks in data from IQFeed and has an option to show a securities "Beta". The XLQ people tell me this data is fed directly from you guys. Can you tell me the source and/or formula for this beta calculation? Cheers, Adrian

I'm trying to understand why I am getting poor speeds from IQFeed. I recently switched strategies and I'm trying to get a realtime feed from about 150 tickers, but my IQFeed Connection manager is showing really poor transfer speeds of about 10 KB/Sec. I have Cable connectivity, and I get about 1Mbit between here and NY (I am in Europe). Many other apps provide a DL speed over at least 100KB/sec. So I am trying to figure out why I am getting only 10KB/Sec from IQFeed? My charts regularly fall behind by 1 minute which creates alot of lag in terms of trying to trade realtime. I expect there must be some type of throttling on their connection, to prevent bandwidth hogging. Is it possible I have exceeded some limit? Appreciate any help in identifying bottlenecks. Adrian |
