MM95 -Interested User- Posts: 11 Joined: May 26, 2004	Posted: Feb 23, 2007 05:51 PM Msg. 1 of 2 When my application attemps to connect and loads Library file "IQ32.dll", the IQFeed client setup wizard runs. I assume somehow it atempts to install a more current version. Of all the installations this is the first time I have encountered this. This happend on XP home edition IQfeed version 4.2.0.7 http://mm95.com
DTN_Steve_S -DTN Guru- Posts: 2093 Joined: Nov 21, 2005	Posted: Feb 26, 2007 09:53 AM Msg. 2 of 2 I am not sure what would be causing this sort of behavior. There is nothing in IQ32.dll that is coded to launch a setup program of anykind. There is not an autoupdate of anykind anywhere in IQFeed. The only thing I can think of with the information you have provided how this could happen is that somehow the setup file got renamed to IQConnect.exe and replaced the current IQConnect.exe in your IQFeed directory but I am sure you would agree that this seems highly unlikely. Our Customer Service department reported that they were able to install and run your Application with 4.2.0.7 without this happening. With all of this considered, I would initially say it seems as though you have gotten a bad install of IQFeed. Please close out of any 3rd party apps running on your system that use IQFeed, then uninstall IQFeed. Then reinstall IQFeed and see if the problem persists.
