"I ran your IQFeed DDE vs. my broker vs. a level II window for some slow-moving options. I would see the level II quote change, then your feed update instantaneously. My broker's DDE, however, would take as much as 30 seconds to update. I am not chasing milliseconds, but half a minute is unacceptable." - Comment from Rob
"I "bracket trade" all major news releases and I have not found one lag or glitch with DTN.IQ feed. I am very comfortable with their feed under all typical news conditions (Fed releases, employment numbers, etc)." - Comment from Public Forum
"I am very happy I changed. I love the product, but more so I am thrilled with Tech Support. You are knowledgeable, polite, pleasant and professional." - Comment from Pat
"If you are serious about your trading I would not rely on IB data for serious daytrading. Took me a while to justify the cost of IQ Feed and in the end, it's just a 2 point stop on ES. Better safe than sorry" - Comment from Public Forum
"Interactive Brokers tick data was inconsistent, so I have switched to using DTN exclusively. It is great to no longer have to worry about my datafeed all day long." - Comment from Philippe
"You are much better than lawyers or the phone company because you answer the phone when I call! I just love your customer service." - Comment from Isreal
"I will tell others who want to go into trading that DTN ProphetX is an invaluable tool, I don't think anyone can trade without it..." - Comment from Luther
"I use IQ Feed, Great stuff as far as data analysis information, storage and retrieval is concerned." - Comment from Public Forum
"I would just like to say that IQFeed version 4 is running very well and I am very happy with its performance. I would also like to extend a big thanks for the fast and efficient help that I always receive. My questions and concerns are always addressed promptly. Way to go!" - Comment from Josh in CO.
"I am keeping IQFeed, much better reliabilty than *******. I may refer a few other people in the office to switch as well." - Comment from Don

Not that I know of - would you please send a copy of your workbook to prophetx@dtn.com so a tech support person can take a look? Just go to Help/E-mail ProphetX - Thanks
Hello! Yes you can right click on the title bar of the page you want to move and select "Detach Window" If you save and close ProphetX it will stay detached. To reattach, right click on the title bar and select Reattach. Regards, Marge
You are correct - I sent this off to our development group for review and will follow up with you when I receive an answer. Thanks for using ProphetX.
We already have this signal predefined in ProphetX. Click on f(x)Studies on the left docked toolbar - it's call UpDownBars. Just drag and drop it on your chart. To change it right click on name under the signals section and right click to select Properties. Make your changes and click OK. To create a new one right click on any signal and select Create New Signal. There is more information in our Help files - go to Help/Help from the main menu. Click on the search button on the upper left side and enter signals. The first response will take you to all of this information. If you need additional assistance, just call our support line at 800-532-0136 and they will be happy to help you out. Thank you for using ProphetX.
Once you've added the volume study to the chart as a separate stack, you can right click and Add Study again - select the Moving Average and when it asks which stack you want , select the volume. You can select Parameters to change the Moving Average Properties before clicking OK, or right click on the Moving Average line after it's been added and select Properties there. Hope this helps!
The default properties have been assigned based on standard formulas from the technical analysis publications and in no way reflect what the best suited properties should be. In the case of the 14 - this is based on the interval you've selected. Therefore, if it was a daily chart it would be 14 days, on a minute chart it would be based on the last 14 minutes. If it were a 15-tick chart it would be 14 15-tick intervals. Thank you for your request and hope this helps explain the ADX properties. Marge
Our trading system is live - please contact Tim and we will follow up on your request. Thank you!
Hello, I believe what you're looking for is one of our import add-ons. Would you please send me your contact info so I can get someone to talk to you directly? Thanks, Marge marge.petkovsek@dtn.com
The reason this is happening is because, in order to save bandwidth, we "unload" both quotes and workbook tabs and pages after a specific amount of time - they immediately re-load when the focus is put on them - if you notice on the quotes, the strike outs go away as soon as you start scrolling, so it's not a bug in the program and you're not doing anything wrong.
Did you contact our support group earlier today? If so, we're working on the formula you wanted to create. For some reason it will not allow us to combine the Stoch and RSI it was sent to a developer and we haven't heard back. Someone will contact you as soon as we get a response. The documentation is general in nature because there are so many possible variables when creating formulas. In 10 years of working with ProphetX, I've rarely seen 2 the same. We show the basic syntax and you decide what you want to do with it. Thank you for using ProphetX and we'll be in touch with you soon.
Hello, Other users may have been able to manipulate their spreadsheets with this information but we do not have currently have a spreadsheet available to do this. But you may still hear from other users who are willing to share their techniques with you....
We are, however, in the process of upgrading our options module to include various charting capabilities based on the volatility and directly from the options module, as well as linking directly from options. This should, in some cases, eliminate the need to do a lot of the current linking you're doing from the quote sheets. The plan is for implementation in version 3.4, scheduled for year end - hopefully sooner. Regards, Marge
Good Morning! Please call our tech support number at 1-800-532-0136 - one of the tech folks will walk you thru the process to see what's going on. You're correct, it looks like it's putting a bad character in the link. They will get you taken care of in short order.
Hi Jim Thank you for the input - we are still working on the printing functions in ProphetX 3.0 - I will certainly add you comments to our enhancement queue for future implementation. On our web site, there is a "What's New?" section that shows enhancements and fixes in each version - please watch this for new version information. Regards, Marge
This is a Windows compatibility issue that has been found and fixed in the next release - looking for end of this week on release.
This is version 3.0 3.14?
We don't have a way to get in touch with you! Our tech support group is waiting for your call - please call them at 1-800-532-0136 Thanks
Please contact our tech support group at 1-800-532-0136 for assistance. Thanks!
The last post was to your previous comment - I will enter this as well.
Understood. And this would be a better solution if you could, indeed, specify only certain fields to display - but it is a viable solution for someone who may have trendlines or studies attached to the chart and only wants to view those....thus the suggestion. I have entered this as a request but 1 other work-around would be to just turn off the data window and use the pop-up that shows when you point to the individual data points - the most recent will reflect the same as the data window.
Thank you for your input - I will enter these in the enhancement queue Re: #1 - if you click on the font button in the data window properties, you can size the font to your specs. #3 To make the symbol go away uncheck Charts in the field selections in the properties dialog.
