I am interested in the API and data. May I ask what the US stock quote data looks like? Is it NBBO, or BBO from every exchange? can someone point me to some specific examples? Thanks!

IQFeed offers both Level 1 and Level 2 data. Level 1 data includes the Bid and Ask price for each tick, which is NBBO and also tells you which market maker provided the bid/ask prices. Level 2 data will send you a record for every bid/ask offer, and you can keep your own book if you want to.

Thanks Gary!
I want a trial of iqfeed. When I go through the sign up process, to select the exchanges for stocks, I do not see the option of level 1 stock quotes for cboe stock exchanges, what I see for stock level 1 quotes are nyse, and nasdaq. So the level 1 stock quotes are not available for cboe stock exchanges, is that right?

Do you mean like SPX or VIX? Those are considered indexes, not stocks. You would need to add the CBOE Indexes product.

No, I mean stocks. Besides NYSE and Nasdaq, does iqfeed provides stock quotes for stock exchanges of CBOE? I do not see those exchanges listed when I am choosing exchanges in the trial subscription process.
