Hi,

I am wondering how many connections are allowed to IQConnect.exe?

If I make two connections to IQConnect.exe and one connect is slow to receive data, will it affect the receiving speed of the other connection?

Thx,
G

We don't limit the connections to IQconnect.exe. I am not sure why one connection would be slow compared to another, but it shouldn't effect anything. However, with anything, the more connections, the more resource utilization required, so I wouldn't make more connections than are necessary. In the case of our DTN.IQ software, we make a connection for each type of app (charts, watch lists, etc).

Sorry I wasn't clear about the slow connection part.

If two clients are connected to IQConnect.exe, and one client does not receive data fast enough, will it increase the price latency of the other client?

Thx.

If the ultimate cause of teh slow connection is lack of available resources on the pc then yes. But the server should not be bogged down on a socket by actions on a different socket. However if enough data becomes backed up on a given socket then the issue of available resources will become a problem.
