Hello-
I just setup a new computer and downloaded and installed the new DTN setup file from the website. I have copied my old DTN folder to a safe location on my new hard drive.

Question: what files should I pull out of the old folder and drop into the new DTN folder to get my old watch lists and views? TIA Miklos

Miklos,

The files you will want to move over are your watch list and portfolio files. The watch lists will be .wat files, while the portfolio's will be .prt. The portfolio files are actually saved to your My Documents directory by default, so you will need to copy those from your old My Documents to the My Documents on the new computer. The watch list files are saved to the DTN.IQ install directory by default (the default is c:\program files\dtn\dtn.iq\

The rest of the settings for DTN.IQ are stored in the registry, and thus there is no easy way to copy them over. This includes such things as workspaces, window positioning (except for watch lists), etc.
