The API documentation is excellent. Helped me understand all the operational details of the API to be able to write my own client in a few hours. But I see that there are a number of tools such as IQExplorer and IQLinkLauncher and I see no documentation on them. Can you point me to anything that will help me make effective use of them?
Also, is there one single tool from which you can connect to all the four different ports (5009, 9200, 9100, 9300) and send commands and receive responses to see the full API working from one place?
Thanks.

IQ Explorer is a simple telnet window in effect. It is included so you can try various commands and then be able to see those real time results. IQ Link is part of an internal product that is required for the proper operation of DDE to Excel and is not designed for developer usage.
Each sample has been disconnected over the years to help simplify what a customer would have to go through to find the code that they need. So no, I do not have an all in one example that displays a compiled product.

Somewhat off topic, but where can I get IQ Explorer? That sounds perfect for my needs in figuring out the API usage
I just downloaded the latest client package (5.1.3) and see Launcher, WatchQuote etc but no explorer.
Thanks

IQExplorer is part of the developer installation. Just login to the website and you will be able to download the package and if that has already been done, then it can be found under Start -> IQFeed 5.1.0.5 -> Data Validation Tools -> IQ Explorer.
