DTN_Steve_S -DTN Guru- Posts: 2093 Joined: Nov 21, 2005	Posted: Aug 27, 2007 03:38 PM Msg. 2 of 8 Initial investigation leads me to believe there has to be something on your end contributing to this. However, without more useful information, I cannot investigate this further. Which server(s) are you connecting to and when? (the logs above do not indicate which quote server you were connected to). What software is producing the logs you posted? What is your username for the feed? How many symbols are you watching? Are you requesting any historical data as well (bring up charts for example)? Feel free to PM me or email support with any information you do not want to post here on the forums (like your username).

There are still the occasional issue with the servers. For example today at 9:47AM (as in your log) server 148.227 dropped some users. This has been the only incident today where any server dropped users. The server team is still investigating these incidents to get them resolved permanently.
dhakme -DTN Evangelist- Posts: 150 Joined: Sep 17, 2004	Posted: Aug 28, 2007 09:05 PM Msg. 7 of 8 Just thought I'd mention that we too have been experiencing an increased number of drop outs since the new servers went in. The drop outs have reduced significantly and we haven't had a drop out for two days. I did notice that for a while we had a drop out on both our clients at around 9:00am EST on a semi-regular basis.
DTN_Jay_Froscheiser -VP, Product Operations- Posts: 1746 Joined: May 3, 2004 DTN IQFeed/DTN.IQ/DTN NxCore	Posted: Aug 28, 2007 09:24 PM Msg. 8 of 8 Our server team believes they have identified and fixed that last issue causing periodic restarts of the new servers. A new version of this server code is being released tonight and we will be monitoring to see if it does indeed resolve all of the restart issues. Please post if you experience any restarts (along with the time and server you were connected to) so we can compare them to our logs. We still have a few issues that affect other services utilizing the IQ servers and once those have been resolved we will begin rolling the new code to the rest of our server farm. I don't anticipate the final roll out to happen until mid September. Jay Froscheiser DTN - Trading Markets
