cool, although not practical unless I had a large symbol limit I will save info for reference, but I suppose I could do it over a larger span of time. is it 500 symbols per month or per day for default subscription?
Also news and the associated ticker do not list the exchange that the stock is listed under. I do not know enough about tickers, but I imagine that I might get two tickers that have the same name but are different companies on different exchanges?
anyways I will use nasdaqs Company List (NASDAQ, NYSE, & AMEX) and build a lookup and go from there. Edited by civilwar on May 6, 2014 at 01:28 PM Edited by civilwar on May 6, 2014 at 01:28 PM
What is the SIC code associated to?
i.e. ticker-> SIC ?
for example I have a bunch of news articles related to stock tickers. Now I want to create a lookup table of sectors for these tickers.
looks like my best bet for a couple of exchanges is: http://www.nasdaq.com/screening/company-list.aspx Edited by civilwar on May 6, 2014 at 12:35 PM Edited by civilwar on May 6, 2014 at 12:38 PM
