The 10 o'clock delay is back.
At 10:14 ET, quotes for NASDAQ symbols:
66.112.156.223:6002 is delayed 125 seconds
66.112.148.221:5002 is delayed 180 seconds
What's causing this?

We are seeing some servers at both our Primary and secondary server facility under extremely heavy load. We have removed those servers from production (no more users will connect to them). If you are seeing delays in data, please log out, and log back in which should connect you to a server with less load on it.
Our engineers are looking at our load balancing process, as well as putting more servers into production to help alleviate the situation. I can assure you we take these delays very serious and will do what it takes to make sure it doesn't continue.
Thank you.

This has been happening off and on since June.
You'd better take it even more seriously -- Medved users on a chat I particpate in are noticing the delays now that they are into the minutes.
The delays always begin around 10am ET. They have been only a few seconds in the previous weeks. But yesterday and today, the delays are into the minutes. Coincidentally (or not), the tick volume is climbing after the summer doldrums and the delays are increasing.
People are leaving QCharts because of their lousy data and going to TradeStartion. Yesterday and today, IQFeed data has been worse than that of QCharts.
Does the satellite feed experience the same delays? Edited by kdresser on Oct 6, 2005 at 09:54 AM Edited by kdresser on Oct 6, 2005 at 09:58 AM

I feel your frustration, but I can assure you that it can't be taken any more seriously. We put in upgrades over the summer that had taken care of nearly all delays (except a few that would occur when a user would abuse the system by making numerous requests for historical or snapshot data). In the mean time, we have been working on new server code that will increase the efficiency of all of our systems. The last 2 days have been an issue, and we are doing everything we can to mitigate the problem.
Again, these issues are not taken lightly and WILL be resolved quickly.
As for satellite, no, it isn't seeing these issue. It is a broadcast feed that isn't effected by customer load.
