Question about "500 symbol" limit:
If I wanted to get, for example, the 5-day average volume for 1000 symbols, could I still do this by just using two separate queries back-to-back?
Thanks.

The symbol limit applies to the number of concurrent symbols you can watch (streaming data). You can get as much historical data for as many symbols as you want.
BTW, the limit is 1300 symbols if you sign up with DTN rather than IQFeed.
cheers.

Trent,
Also note that you will need to throttle the requests if you plan to pull 1000 symbols historical data. The limits are in place to give everyone a fair share of bandwidth and server resources. If you are pulling 1000 symbols historical data, I would ask that you do so afterhours and all will be well.
Thanks
