"I ran your IQFeed DDE vs. my broker vs. a level II window for some slow-moving options. I would see the level II quote change, then your feed update instantaneously. My broker's DDE, however, would take as much as 30 seconds to update. I am not chasing milliseconds, but half a minute is unacceptable." - Comment from Rob
"I am keeping IQFeed, much better reliabilty than *******. I may refer a few other people in the office to switch as well." - Comment from Don

hello i was given a temporary account to complete some testing.

i had no problems using the previous trial account, but with the guest account my socket connects are rejected.

is this a problem with the account setup? nothing has changed on the software side.

here is the error i get, the api logs in but it refuses socket connects.

The guest account is no different from any other account as far as the feed is concerned in terms of connectivity.

My only guess would be that there is some sort of conflict on the machine causing issues. Doublecheck that IQConnect isn't still in your process list when it should be shut down. You might also try running a netstat while the feed is shut down to be sure nothing is using ports 5009, 9100, 9200, or 9300.

not sure what happened, didn't see a dupe process but closing it and retrying it worked.

sorry for stupid question, i mainly wanted to make sure the guest account was the same. thanks for clarification.
