Hello Steve1986,
Yes, the old GM data is available in IQFeed with the symbol MTLQQ. It is not a part of the current GM data.

Thanks Todd.
Would you happen to know if other historical data is available as well, such as AT&T pre-SBC acquisition? I'm mainly curious in daily data from the historical Dow 30 components.
thanks,
Steve

Hello Steve,
This is a different scenario and the pre merger data is not available. This data exists in our archive but when SBC acquired AT&T, they kept the symbol T for the new company. The pre merger data exists as T also and there is no way to make the old symbol T distinguishable from the new symbol T. Each scenario is different and would need to be addressed individually.

Thanks Todd. Does this mean that when I query the historical daily data for "T", that I would be getting the original AT&T data until the symbol was switched over, and then I would get the data for the SBC+AT&T stock? Or would the historical daily data for T be SBC?

Hi Steve1986,
When looking at historical data for the symbol T, the data prior to the acquisition date would be the former SBC data; not the former AT&T data.
