Hi,

Anyone knows if a stock (equity) with a suffix of .U is always for Units and cannot be class U ?

The DTN documentation states that .U is Units so I am assuming that there is no class U.

.U suffixes are found on Amex and TSX mainly.

I think I found my answer. From the Amex web site, .U are units.

My confusion is probably with the preffered stcoks. ex. ABC.PR.U

Preffered stock with .U dont seem to be Units.

I need to convert the suffix to match what we use, .U must become .UN for units, but it looks like a preffered stock should stay .U
