Hello, When will DTN get their continuous commodity contracts working? With everything that is going on in these markets it is important to have this information. With all the expertise DTN has at it's disposal it is hard to believe they can't get this problem resolved. Please give us a date when you will have this problem resolved. Thank you.

For me, it's less important when they get rolled over that the data isn't corrupt. @ER#, @ES#, @ED# (and most other continuous contracts) have corrupt daily data.

Its really not corrupt, per se. It technically shouldn't be there (I will see if we can block the requests at the server). We don't have daily continous data currently. If you request daily data on the individual contract, the data is correct, but not continuous. While Skunk points out that it is long overdue, it IS true that we are actively developing the capability. We have gone about building the data a few different ways in an effort to release something that will work for all commodities (not just the eminis). Unfortunately we have had to start over a few times while getting it right.

I am glad to hear you are working on the problem. It seems strange why other companies are able to provide this information and DTN isn't. I have always been of the opinion that DTN was a very capable data provider and a problem like this would have been resolved long ago. For those of us who trade the markets this kind of information is important. Some of your competitors are able to present this kind of information perhaps you should use a similar solution rather than trying to re-invent the wheel.

Tim
