I believe DTN runs interquote.com as well (since the docs refer us to cgi.interquote.com to retrieve hotlists).
Odd result today:
TOPT shows as the 10th highest % gainer with a % gain of 7.00%. (Up .89 to 13.60)
In reality, TOPT is down 22.87% (4.05). In fact, +.89 isn't possible, as that would at least require a low yesterday of 12.71, which isn't right either.
Am I interpreting the data from interquote incorrectly, or is this a bug?
Thanks!

I am actually not showing TOPT on the nasdaq 10 gainers list. Can you give me the link you are looking at?
Also according to the quotes comming through for TOPT, it is in fact up 7%+ with a last of 13.62 (+.92)
This data matches both Yahoo and Google...
However our historical data shows that TOPT closed at 17.71 Yesterday.

You're right--Yahoo's history agrees as well--yesterday 17.71, today 13.62, up 7.16%. They announced a $5 dividend. I'm not entirely sure how the stock goes up 7% by losing $4, but that's another story... :-)

It is the dividend that is the explanation. The exchange adjusted the price between sessions.
If you need a programatic way to avoid these types of pitfalls, the dividend data is sent with the fundamental message.
