IQFeed 3rd Party Software Support » IQ4.0 via 2.0 Jan 30, 2006 05:17 PM (Total replies: 8)

Yes I did click the "login" and entered the user name and password.

I believe that I logged in because if I type in other names and password, it did not allow me to get in. Instead, it said that wrong user name and password. If I did not log in, I cannot go to the focum to post the message. Am I right about this?

After I logged in, I did not see the screen you described.

Anything wrong with my log in?

Do I need to re-register?

Hi, Jay:

I want to make sure that the file I downloaded is the right one.

After I logged in to developer area, I saw three menu choices:

"About IQFeed" "Support" "Developers"

I click Support and it lead me to a list of sub menus. One is "Download Client".

In Download Client, I saw "Download IQFeed Client 4.0.0.2"

Is this file I need to download for my software development (which contains IQ32.lib and example programs)?

IQFeed 3rd Party Software Support » IQ4.0 via 2.0 Jan 29, 2006 03:37 PM (Total replies: 8)

Thank you for your reply.

Where is the link which I can download the developer's version of IQFeed 4.0?

IQFeed 3rd Party Software Support » IQ4.0 via 2.0 Jan 27, 2006 12:25 PM (Total replies: 8)

Hi, Tech support:

I develop my own software. Previously my software linked with IQ32.lib (IQFeed version 2.0).

I just downloaded IQFeed 4.0 and installed it into my computer.

After installation, I found out that the lib directory is gone and no IQ32.lib file can be found.

If my program does not link with IQ32.lib, the compiler gives error message:

unresolved external symbol "void __stdcall RemoveClientApp()

Is IQFeed 4.0 back competible with 2.0?

How to solve this problem?

Thanks

IQFeed Developer Support » Tick history is not working Jan 18, 2005 08:50 PM (Total replies: 8)

I had this kind of problem before.

You may try to type the symbol in capital charactors for history data.

It solved my problem after I tried that.

I am using VC++ 6.0 and it works well.

I only watching under 10 stocks t a time up to now and I will test watching more symbols (up to 500) and see whether it works fine also.

Any progress has been made on providing end-of-day data support either as a downloadable file or as streaming data?

IQFeed Developer Support » end-of-day data file Dec 14, 2004 09:46 PM (Total replies: 9)

Is that possible we can get a downloadable end-of-day data file for each market after market closes each day?

Of course I can get it one by one from the server but it is time comsuming. If we can have one file which contans all the end-of-day data, it will be much convenient.

If need, I can develop a short program on the server side to do the job.

How many of developers need it?

IQFeed Developer Support » Error: Unable to Connect to History Socket Dec 8, 2004 12:31 AM (Total replies: 6)

Hi,

I tried to use CAPS to retrieve intra-day data from my newly installed IQFeed computer and run the sample "HISTORY" program. It worked.

So, I will look into my program to see what has been changed for the problem.

Thanks.

IQFeed Developer Support » Error: Unable to Connect to History Socket Dec 7, 2004 03:48 PM (Total replies: 6)

Hi, Glenn:

Now I downloaded new IQFeed 2.3 version into ANOTHER computer and installed IQFeed into c:\Program Files\DTN\IQFeed directory and run the sample "history" program in that directory.

After the program prompts for my UserID and Password, I typed them and logged in.

Then I entered a symbl "MSFT", selected "intra-day" data, it gives
"load aborted - History Data currently unavailable" message.

Then, I tried for daily data, weekly data, monthly data selections, all no problem.

I did not run my own program at all, just example program "history" using my UserID and Password. That eliminates thrid party software problems.

I checked registry, setting for EXEDIR is c:\Program Files\DTN\IQFeed - OK

Do you think that the problem is due to my account status change?

The new computer has no IQFeed insalled before, I just downloaded and installed IQFeed. Then run "history" example program.

Please help me to solve the problem. Thanks.

IQFeed Developer Support » Error: Unable to Connect to History Socket Dec 7, 2004 12:52 PM (Total replies: 6)

The error mesage: "Unable to Connect to Minute History Socket".

This problem started yesterday and continued today. I called DTN Customer Service and my account is OK.

I did not modify any code of my program and the program has been running OK
for the past 6 months.

Right now, my program can get real-time quotes, historical daily data, weekly data, monthly data. The only problem is getting historical minutes data for any symbol.

But historical minutes data is the most important data I need in order to day-trade stocks.

What may be the problem?

Thnak you for your help.

I am using VC++ 6.0 for my program. Actually I run the sample "History" program, it gives the same error message.

IQFeed Developer Support » Error: Unable to Connect to History Socket Dec 6, 2004 11:56 AM (Total replies: 6)

When I run sample "History" program today, I run into this problem
when I tried to retrieve Intra-Day or Tick data.

I can retrieve Monthly, Weekly, Daily data with no problem and I can also retrieve real-time quote from IqFeed,
but it gives me above error message when I tried to retrieve Historical minutes data.

This is the first time I met this problem. I run my own program everyday.

What may be te cause of this problem?

Last time (6 month ago) I had this problem and found out later than the sevice did not activite my account.

Thank you for your help.

It should be no problem if you use automatic log in option.

I have been doing it for a long time.
