DTN.IQ Client Software Support » trouble loggin in to IQ Feed Jul 12, 2010 12:36 PM (Total replies: 0)

I built a very simple two-button application in VB.net 2010 Express to simply register and remove the client app. The program also directly has imported into the project the IQConnect.exe and IQFEEDY.ocx file which is registered and available through the tool box.
I am getting the following error at the login screen:

“Sorry, your Product and/or Service for the attempted login are incorrect. If you have recently changed products you may also need to change your type of service. Please contact DTN customer support for assistance. “

Here is the code that is being used presently:

Imports System.Net.Sockets
Public Class Form1

Dim sckClient As TcpClient

Dim ProdID As String
Dim ProdVersion As String
Dim Prodkey As String
Private Sub AxIQFeedY1_IQConnectStatus(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As AxIQFEEDYLib._DIQFeedYEvents_IQConnectStatusEvent)

End Sub

Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
Dim state As Boolean = False
'ProdID = "IQFEED_DEMO"
ProdID = "My_ID_XXXX"
Prodkey = "0.11111111"
Dim ProdVersion = System.Reflection.Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly.GetName().Version.ToString
MessageBox.Show(ProdVersion)
AxIQFeedY1.RegisterClientApp(ProdID, Prodkey, ProdVersion)
sckClient = New TcpClient
End Sub

Private Sub ButtonIQcon_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles ButtonIQcon.Click

End Sub

Private Sub ButtonIQdiscon_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles ButtonIQdiscon.Click
AxIQFeedY1.RemoveClientApp()
End Sub
End Class

When I switch to “IQFEED_DEMO” as the ProdID I get the following error code in a message box:
SOCKET_ERROR ON ADMIN SOCKET CONNECT(): 10038

I would appreciate if you could help me sort out the problem.

Thanks very much,
