ICE Futures Europe deletions
The original plan had been for the ICE Gasoil contract with 1,000ppm sulphur content to trade through January 2015. The ICE Low Sulphur Gasoil contract with 10ppm sulphur content was introduced with the January 2012 contract, the idea being that it would eventually replace the 1,000ppm sulphur contract. These contracts have been trading in parallel since then. Rather than transition from the 1,000ppm contract to the different 10ppm contract after January 2015, ICE instead changed the contract specs for the 1,000ppm contract, beginning with the February 2015 contract, to 10ppm. Ticker DTN ICE Gasoil 1,000ppm sulphur through January 2015: GAS EPI ICE Low Sulphur Gasoil 10ppm sulphur through January 2015: ULS ULS ICE Low Sulphur Gasoil 10ppm sulphur February 2015 and beyond: G GAS DTN roots EPI and ULS will cease quoting with the expiration of the January 2015 futures on 1/12/15. DTN root GAS will be the surviving symbol for February 2015 and beyond. |
