Now the problem is fix. Thanks Natalie and everyone else who helped to solve this issue. It turns out that I need to install MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 2 on my computer.
Jay Froscheiser,
I sent you an email regarding disabling some feature of my account, but I didn't receive any reply back. This problem with my account has started after I spoke to you about commercial data feed, which makes me wonder if there is a relation between my request regarding commercial datafeed and disabling some features of my account. If this is the case should't you first let me know if you have any concern or question before any change into my account and not telling me after that, and make me busy for days to investigate the issue.
No it doesn't work. I tried NewsSocketText example, it didn't work.
But NewsSocketXML works!
Here it is:
STATUS (LOOKUP)=2006-07-21 15:03:20: SOCKET ACCEPTED
FROM CLIENT (LOOKUP)=2006-07-21 15:04:36: NNT:9653150:CPZ TO CLIENT (LOOKUP)=2006-07-21 15:04:37:
!ENDMSG!
I'm having problem with all other news requests.
I'm getting reply but it is NULL (N,) for all my NNT requests!
Is this something that is happening just to my account?
Why noone from DTN anserws to my post?
I'm not receiving news from "127.0.0.1",9100 socket. I'm using same software that was working before.
Here is an example:
I received following headline news from "127.0.0.1", 5009 socket. N,CPZ,9653150,:RMBS:,20060721 144811,Schatz & Nobel, P.C. Announces Class Action Lawsuit Against Rambus, Inc.
I send the following request to get the story: NNT:9653150:CPZ;
I'll get following in response (NULL story): N,
This happens for all headlines.
Does anyone know that, If I subscribe as a professional to NASDAQ, NYSE, and AMEX exchanges through DTN, can I use these datafeeds for commercial use (for example in a stock market scanner)?
Thanks
Steve, There was an error in my code. Now it works fine.
Thanks for your help.
I'm not adding any extra character such as line feed. I'm using this inside a program which already I've stablished a connection to 127.0.0.1, 5009 to receive the quote data. Does DTN allow have 2 connections?
I'm getting syntax error when I send a news command such as "NCT;". I use TCP/IP address 127.0.0.1, 9100.
Is the address wrong?
Thanks
