POLLS & SURVEYS » Additional Market Stats/Breadth/Indicators Jun 8, 2005 01:44 AM (Total replies: 10)

Jay,
I am beta testing the market scan(via internet) & I would like the ability to scan for stocks that GAP($) up, down & GAP% up & down in the custom scan. Also if possible have the ability to scan back at different times eg: Intervals of 1min 2min 5min 15min 1hr and so on in order to pick out those stocks that are gaining ground. Also would like to custom scan for ChgO (change open) & ChgO% (change open %)in the same manner as above. In other words, the ability to scan stocks that GAP% X% or GAP X$ or ChgO X$ or ChgO% X% in the last 1 minute, 2min and so on (X = dollar or percentage assigned) This would be great.

Thanks
Tim

IQFeed 3rd Party Software Support » IQFEED times out May 24, 2005 01:02 AM (Total replies: 5)

I use QT(3.5.7b) & IQfeed 2.3.0.2. I have dial-up internet service(bad). I wish I had something better(any suggestions?) Problem: My internet connection drops & my computer will automatically redial & connect etc but if it drops & connects several times, sometimes more or less, IQFeed shows a window that says that it has timed out. Sometimes if I say yes to re-connect it pops up a window saying something to the effect that this connection already has this name or id connected or something like that. It doesn't pop this window up as much as it says that it has timed out & ask to re-connect. This really bugs me because I leave this running all the time for news etc. When it times out I loose my IQFeed connection & no news or stock quotes etc. What can I do or how can it be fixed to not time out. I don't think it is taking too long to redial & get connected because I seen it do it before. It would wait 5 sec before dialing the first time & sometimes it takes two times to connect. Can the length of time it take to time out be extended or something? I just don't know what to do. I need it to stay connected all the time. I just don't want the thing to time out. I want it(IQFEED) to try to connect as many times as it take to reconnect. I'm loosing a lot of information. Thanks for your time.

Tim
