"I just wanted to say how happy I am with your service. I was able to download the API docs last week and I was able to replicate Interactive Brokers historical bar queries and realtime bar queries over the weekend. That was about one of the fastest integrations that I've ever done and it works perfectly!!!!" - Comment from Jason via Email

IQFeed Developer Support » Problem receiving historical tick data Mar 21, 2015 07:15 PM (Total replies: 1)

I'm able to receive real time tick data over a socket connection, but when i try to request historical data from 127.0.0.1:9100 ( i didn't change default port ) i just receive a network socket time out. My time out was set to 5 seconds. I tried a longer duration in case that wasn't enough time but no luck.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks.

IQFeed Developer Support » Update messages over TCP/IP socket Mar 2, 2015 10:53 PM (Total replies: 2)

I have subscribed to receive a symbol over Level 1 TCP/IP and it's all working OK until i certain time where i seem to receive incomplete data. E.g. I receive 8 fields in the update message when i subscribed to 10.

When IQFeed sends an update message for a symbol should i expect all the fields that i subscribed to at once? Or could the update been broken up into multiple messages? I'm currently assuming all at once but i suspect that it's the later.

Thanks.
