Hello,

today I requested OptionChain for BBD and my application failed on parsing Option name, as some of the returned options had different format.

BBD1918A15 - correct one
BBD11918A15.45 - not correct.

Can you please advice me, if it is an issue on your side, or when this could occurs?

Thank you,
Ondrej

Good morning,

Sorry I missed this, but this happens when a corporate action, like a split occurs.

You can see a list of the underlying option roots for a given item in the fundamental message in the "Root Option symbol" field. In this case, it shows BBD and BBD1. If there was another action done, a BBD2 root value would be created.
