Hi,

Being reasonably new to the feed, I would just want to ask why Trade Date is not updated with the last trade date on pre-market trades? It is now Monday and there has been a few pre-market trades on for example INTC. The trade time shows this correctly, however the trade date still shows Friday? I can work around this issue but I'm not a big fan of fuzzy logic (especially since I also need to convert the date/time to UTC)

Thanks & Regards,
Peter

Peter,

Can you give an example of a symbol as well as what software you are using with IQFeed? I spot checked a couple symbols (AAPL as an example) that traded pre-market and the trade date is updated with 4/15/2013.

Hi Jay,

I actually think I've identified the issue after a little bit of tinkering around. It seems as I need to re-subscribe to the symbol for the trade date to update. My problem I guess is that I am connected 24/7. I noticed the problem first on Friday when the date reported was still Thursday, and today I started up WatchQuote before pre-market open to monitor INTC. It did not change the date once trades was coming in, however once I switched symbols it updated to Monday correctly.

Regards,
Peter

Jay,

FYI: Attached is a screenshot from the WatchQuote application. I subscribed to HAL after pre-market open but before the first trade came in. As you can see the trade time updated correctly once the trade came in, but the trade date still remains on Friday 12/4. It causes a bit of a problem if I need to re-subscribe and although I can look at the volume to find out when to do it, i'd rather not.

Regards,
Peter

Peter, sorry for the delay responding. This has been addressed in IQFeed 5.0.0.10 (it looks like you are running 5.0.0.8). There are now separate date fields for each of the different Trade categories (Last, Extended, Other) that update with the first trade of that type each day.
