"Interactive Brokers tick data was inconsistent, so I have switched to using DTN exclusively. It is great to no longer have to worry about my datafeed all day long." - Comment from Philippe
"IQFeed version 4 is a real screamer compared to anything else I have seen." - Comment from Tom
"I was on the phone with a friend who uses CQG and right after the Fed announcement, CQG was as much as 30 seconds behind DTN.IQ. Some quotes were off by as much as 15-18 cents. Your feed never missed a beat." - Comment from Roger
"I am keeping IQFeed, much better reliabilty than *******. I may refer a few other people in the office to switch as well." - Comment from Don
"I ran your IQFeed DDE vs. my broker vs. a level II window for some slow-moving options. I would see the level II quote change, then your feed update instantaneously. My broker's DDE, however, would take as much as 30 seconds to update. I am not chasing milliseconds, but half a minute is unacceptable." - Comment from Rob
"Thanks for the great product and support. During this week of high volume trading, my QuoteTracker + IQ Feed setup never missed a beat. Also, thanks for your swiftness in responding to data issues. I was on ******* for a few years before I made the switch over early this year, and wish I had done it a long time ago." - Comment from Ken
"Version 4.0.0.2 has been working well for me and I appreciate that it is now a much tighter client to work with. I feel I can go to press with my own application and rely on a stable platform" - Comment from David in IA.
"I just wanted to let u know that your data feed/service is by far the best!!! Your unfiltered tick data is excellent for reading order flow and none of your competitors delivers this quality of data!" - Comment from Peter via Email
"Thank God for your Data Feed as the only Zippers I see are on my pants (LOL), and no more 200 pip spikes to mess up charts." - Comment from Spiro via Email
"DTN has never given me problems. It is incredibly stable. In fact I've occasionally lost the data feed from Interactive Brokers, but still been able to trade because I'm getting good data from DTN." - Comment from Leighton

Hello,

I currently have the latest version of ProphetX and I have live NG prices on my spreadsheet to generate certain signals.

If I have an ATM NG strike options (e.g. "=ProphetX|QUOTE!'NGQ7C6050[DTN:NYMEX]?Last' ") on my spreadsheet how can I make sure that the strike changes as the underlying is changing? With Bloomberg one can use various Excel functions like concatenate to make sure that, in the above example, the strike (6.050) changes as the market moves. Is this possible with ProphetX and the DDE link?

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Nick,

Sorry it took so long to reply. The formula you are looking at only retrieves the field “last” to the spreadsheet – the at the money is a calculated value that changes every time the underlying price changes and there is no field to output it. It’s a separate row on the options display, not just one field. You would have to display one of the options pages to display at the money.

If you have furhter questions, please contact Prophet X Support at 1 (800) 532-0136.

Thanks,

Sarah Sexton

I understand that it is a calculated field but is there a way for me to calculate the field in a way that ProphetX would understand - or more accurately the DDE link in Excel would be able to accept?

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Nick,

There is currently no field available to pull at the money – options are still a work in progress and eventually we want to be able to link directly from the options page rather than quotes, but that’s a ways off and until that project gets started I don’t know if we will be able to pull at the money dynamically then either. I will deffinetely forward your suggestion, and you may want to post in the PX wish list forum as well.

Thanks,

Sarah
